At present, there is a clear inter-generational transferring characteristics of the poverty phenomenon in the rural areas of China. Therefore, the scientific analysis of the inter-generational transmission characteristics of rural poverty will be beneficial to the promotion of the rural poverty reductio n and the realization of the common prosperity of the whole people, including the rural areas. In this paper, the intergenerational transmission effect of rural poverty in China is systematically studied by using the data of rural household comprehensive survey and combining empirical analysis with normative analysis. In this paper, the causes of inter-generational poverty transmission effect are qualitatively analyzed from four dimensions: macro-institutional factors, social education and culture factors, family factors and individual factors of offspring. Then, according to the data of Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS,2015),the causes of inter-generational poverty transmission effect are qualitatively analyzed.Based on the qualitative research conclusion,it is proved by empirical analysis that the above four dimensions have significant differential effects on the poverty of offspring. The results are as follows: firstly,in the vast rural areas, the income level and the poverty status of the father are the important factors that affect the income of the offspring, and the poverty of the rural families has the characteristics of inter-generational transmission.Secondly, the individual characteristics of the offspring are the biggest influencing factors of the income level or poverty of the offspring. The main performance is as follows: the more individual is inclined to make detailed prior planning, and the richer the spirit is,the higher the income level of the offspring may be,and the greater the influence of the individual's educational level on the income level of the individual, and the greater the influence of the individual's education level on the income level of the individual. The better the individual mentality, the less likely it is to have a state of poverty, and the better the income and economic status of the individual may be,the better the income and economic condition of the individual, but the more healthy their children are,the higher the economic income level may be.Thirdly, the family characteristics are the important factors that affect the individual income level of the offspring. The main results are as follows: the degree of education of father and mother has a greater influence on the income level of their children, and the degree of education of mother has more influence on the income level of children than that of parents; The better the family economic situation is,the larger the family social network is,and the higher the income level of their children will be.Parents' health status is an important factor that affects the income level of their children, but the influence degree is less than that of their own health degree on their own income status.Fourth, the social macro-education and cultural environment is also an important factor affecting the income of children. The main results are as follows: the better the macro-education environment is,the lower the level of cultural poverty in rural areas, and the better the income and economic status of the offspring may be.Finally, social institutional factors are also important factors affecting inter-generational poverty. The higher the family class is,the more jobs the society provides and the better the rural social security system is,the better the income and economic status of the children may be.Finally, based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the inter-generational transmission of rural family poverty, this paper mainly put forward to four types of policy design: efficient construction of the macro-institutional environment to ensure the healthy development of social economy;strengthen the public service ability of rural education culture prosperity and development;actively guide rural families to cultivate a good family style of emphasizing education and seeking health;make great efforts to promote the spirit of pursuing dreams in which the individual dares to do his or her best.
