In high-tech industry,with the development of technology and the intensification of market competition,the management of new product development is more and more important to a company.With the growth in organization and business scale,a company would find it necessary to make use of project development system in new product development project.Based on project management theories,this acritical firstly summarized the project management theories and its application in technology industry,then do analysis of the wireless test industry and company L's competence.Based on the analysis and reviews of company L's new project development management,it is concluded that the company is problematic and needs improvements in 4 aspects: project organization,product development process,project scope management and project risk management.The article gives improvement solutions to each problem,and also describes how to enforce the solutions in company L,referring to the business renovation process.As to the project organization and product development process,the major issues include the loose structure,lack of the key positions such as project manager and representatives of functional department,low efficiency in trans-department communication.At the early stages of project development,there are not enough efforts to do market research,project planning and so on;during the development process,there are no check points to control the process.The solution is to implement IPD in company L,establishing the standard project development team,following the IPD process to solve the problems mentioned above.In project scope management,the main problem is the unclear definition of project scope,thus results in the issues of arbitrary scope extend,frequent changes in scope.The solution is to introduce project scope management system to improve the scope management.In project risk management,company L lacks both the awareness and the mechanism to evaluate and deal with risks.The solution is to make use of risk evaluation matrix and risk dealing tools,and make a formal system to deal with risks during project management.It is also illustrated in detail on how to measure the real effect of the new management scheme.
