The Impact Of Trade Facilitation In The "China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor" On China's Trade Flows

Since the outbreak of the financial crisis in 2008,the global economy has been weak and the trade situation is tense.The rationalization of trade procedures has become the driving force for the development of regional trade.The "China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor" is China's all-round opening to the outside world,promoting trade freedom and facilitation,important measure to deepen ties with potential emerging economies.Therefore,this article has important theoretical and practical significance from the perspective of China to explore the impact of economic corridor trade facilitation on China's trade flows.The article mainly includes five parts: introduction,theoretical analysis,status analysis,empirical analysis,conclusions and policy recommendations: through literature research,qualitative analysis to explore the background,significance and status of the article;summarize the relevant concepts and theories from the theoretical level,and analyze the mechanism of the relationship between trade facilitation and trade flow;explore through comparative analysis and statistical description China and the economic corridor countries trade status,and based on port infrastructure,customs environment,government and regulatory environment,communication technology and financial services 4 first-level indicators and 20second-level indicators to build a trade facilitation indicator system,analysis of China and the economic corridor Status of national trade facilitation;using panel data from2009 to 2018,the influence of comprehensive and sub-index trade facilitation on China's trade flows was explored by using the gravity model of the trade.Through research,the following results are concluded: China and the economic corridor countries have large trade scales,a single trade commodity structure,and concentrated trade countries;the economic corridor countries in the UAE,Qatar,Bahrain,Oman,and Israel have relatively high levels of trade facilitation and rank high;the level of comprehensive trade facilitation,the size of the domestic economy,the number of populations,and whether the two countries have a common border all have a positive impact on trade flows.In terms of the level of trade facilitation by indicators,the increase in the level of port infrastructure,communication technology and financial services has impacted on trade flows,the impact is even more significant.China should increase investment and development in the markets of the economic corridor countries,optimize the industrial structure,and promote the diversified development of merchandise trade;economic corridor countries should increase investment and construction of trade facilitation,improve infrastructure facilities,optimize the customs environment,improve the government and regulatory environment,accelerate the upgrade of communication technology and financial services,improve the level of trade facilitation,and promote the development of bilateral trade.
