With the rapid development of economic globalization,the development of global tourism industry is getting better and better.In this context,although the tourism industry in Hunan province is also developing rapidly,there are still many deficiencies,such as insufficient supply of products and unclear brand image.In order to achieve better development of Hunan tourism industry,it is necessary to think about the development and upgrading of Hunan tourism industry from the perspective of value chain.This paper first introduces the concept of tourism industry and tourism products based on existing research,defines the value chain of tourism industry,and expounds the development mechanism and upgrade path theory of tourism industry.Then,five representative tourism provinces are selected to compare and analyze the development of each link of the value chain of the tourism industry in Hunan province,and analyze some problems existing in the development of the tourism industry in Hunan province from the perspective of the value chain.Then,13 indicators are selected according to each factor of different links of the tourism industry value chain,and relevant data are collected and sorted for empirical analysis of 13 factors influencing the development of the tourism industry in Hunan province from the perspective of the value chain.Finally,according to the problems in chapter three and the results of the empirical analysis in chapter four,combined with the tourism industry upgrading theory,the author puts forward Suggestions on the upgrading path of Hunan tourism industry.It is found that from the perspective of value chain,basic value chain,auxiliary value chain and extended value chain of tourism industry in Hunan province are relatively weak compared with provinces with strong tourism industry.In terms of basic value chain,passenger volume of railway and civil aviation in tourism transportation and resident consumption level of tourism consumers have great influence on tourism income.In terms of auxiliary value chain,the total fixed investment in tertiary industry and the number of college graduates in Hunan province have a significant impact on tourism income.In the extended value chain,the total number of mobile phone users in Hunan province in the telecommunication industry,the total number of postal businesses in Hunan province and the total number of insurance institutions in the insurance industry have an impact on tourism revenue.Finally,according to the above analysis,combined with the theory of tourism industry upgrading,the thesis puts forward Suggestions on the upgrading path of Hunan tourism industry from the perspective of value chain.
