In recent years,with the popularization and application of Internet new media,digital information and other technologies,the platform sharing economy has gradually become a leader of industrial transformation and upgrading,and it has become a new engine to promote the development of the service economy.Empowerment,as an innovative method of value creation in the platform sharing economy,is increasingly changing the traditional industries and value chains with the help of digital information technology,which has attracted widespread concern in the academic circles.In new era,empowerment organization as an important trend in the evolution of platform companies,how to construct "empowerment organizations" for realize the logic reconstruction of value co-creation,helping organizations or platforms to seize development opportunities and create market advantages.Value co-creation has given the distinctive characteristics of the platform companies,which can enable the organization to break the original closed environment,open organizational boundaries,form different levels of interaction among members,and promote the integration of resources,capabilities and innovation between different value subjects.In the evolution process of platform companies,the specific connection and impact process of empowerment and value co-creation need to be further studied and explained.In view of this research gap,this paper attempts to introduce a new perspective of empowerment,using exploratory double-case study methods,based on the different stages of platform companies growth,to study how platform companies can promote the process of value co-creation with different subjects through the combination of empowerment practices to promote the improvement construction of the interactive environment and the effective integration of resources,and ultimately reshape the value co-creation path.This paper uses two case studies to deeply analyze the representative platform companies in two different industries,summarize the key development process of their success,and combine the evolutionary context of the value co-creation theory to divide the realization process of the platform companies' empowerment value into three stages: pilot,replication and expansion stages.As a result,based on the theory of empowerment,this paper analyzes the implementation path of platform companies' empowerment to promote value co-creation from three aspects: customer empowerment,platform empowerment and ecologicalempowerment.In this process,this paper will study the interactive relationship and mechanism of three kinds of empowerment and different levels value co-creation.The results show that empowerment and value co-creation have stage matching characteristics.In the pilot stage,customer empowerment promotes the process of value co-creation based on customer experience.In the replication stage,platform empowerment promotes the process of value co-creation based on service dominant logic.In the expansion stage,ecological empowerment promotes the process of value co-creation based on service ecosystem.Finally,this paper has constructed a realization path model of value co-creation in platform companies based on the empowerment perspective.This paper attempts to explore the evolutionary logic of the value co-creation process of platform companies from the perspective of empowerment,and uses a comparative case analysis method to combine empowerment,value-creation and platform companies into a unified analysis framework.Combined with the characteristics of evolutionary value co-creation research,this paper has studied the interaction and internal mechanisms of empowerment and value co-creation at different stages,breaking the boundaries of the theoretical research on the empowerment and value co-creation.In addition,different from the traditional empowerment theory which emphasizes organizational or individual research,this paper extends the empowerment perspective to the whole platform ecosystem,searching a progressive path from the micro to the macro to reveal the path of reshaping the value co-creation logic in the platform companies.The empowerment of the platform sharing economy has been given a new era connotation,and clarified the necessary conditions and processes of platform empowerment.
