Study On The Convergence Of Total Factor Productivity And Its Influencing Factors In China's Service Industry

The report of the 19th Communist Party of China National Congress clearly pointed out that unbalanced and inadequate development has become the main factor restricting the people's need for a better life.Promoting coordinated development in different fields will become the main way to solve Chinese "unbalanced and insufficient"development problems.In recent years,the service industry's proportion in the industrial structure has become higher and higher.In addition,the service industry covers a wider range.On the one hand,the included industries have large differences in technology,capital,and labor,which will inevitably lead to an unbalanced development between industries;on the other hand,the development of the service industry is obvious differences between regions.Therefore,this article analyzes the total factor productivity of China's service industry from the perspective of overall and sub-industry and regional levels,which is helpful to strengthen the understanding of the development and changes of the total factor productivity of Chinese service industry.At the same time,explore the influencing factors behind the uneven development of various service industries and regional service industriesIn the theoretical analysis,this paper analyzes the impact mechanism that affects the convergence of total factor productivity of Chinese service industry through factor input effect and industry structure effect at the industry level.At the regional level,it starts with the market environment and institutional environment and sorts out the impact mechanism of total factor productivity convergence in the service industry.In the current situation survey,using panel data to analyze the current status of total factor productivity and convergence of Chinese service industry,it was found that:First,the overall factor productivity of Chinese service industry showed a positive growth trend,and the development trend in the industry dimension remained basically unchanged,while the regional level,its total factor productivity declined year by year,and after 2014,the internal driving effect of the technical efficiency change index obviously overtakes the technical change index.Secondly,in the convergence of total factor productivity of Chinese service industry,except for the volatility in Tibet,Qinghai,and the middle reaches of the Yellow River,there is basically ?-convergence in other industries and regions,and it is also.There is absolute ?-convergence only in the resident services,repairs,and other service industriesIn the empirical test,through empirical research on the factors that affect convergence,it is found that at the industry level,industry labor productivity,the ratio of industry added value to GDP,the capital-labor ratio,and the education level of employees adversely affect all factors of the ?-convergence of Chinese service industry productivity,more R&D capital investment and a higher proportion of industry state-owned property rights are conducive to the ?-convergence of total factor productivity of Chinese service industry;at the regional level,the level of economic development,foreign trade dependence,industrial structure upgrade and government The control variables are also inversely related to the ?-convergence of the total factor productivity of the service industry,and the expansion of the regional scale can promote the ?-convergence of the total factor productivity of the service industry.On the other hand,after adding the influencing factors of industries and regions,no matter the industry,region,population or sub-samples,it shows that there are conditions for the total factor productivity of Chinese service industry to ?-convergence.
