With Bitcoin prices soared in 2013,this technology also block chain was brought into public view,people have begun to explore the application of this emerging technology in various fields,until October 2016 issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information "China block chain technology and application development white paper" makes the block chain industry developed rapidly in China.President Xi 's speech on 1024 pushed the blockchain to the forefront of the times.So far,a total of 32 provinces,municipalities,including Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan regions have issued relevant support or supervision policies.Blockchain technology is an emerging technology,and its application in various fields has not been fully developed.At present,the more mature industries are concentrated in individual fields such as digital currency,securities,and taxation,and there are many potential applications.The field is worth our further exploration.Studying the competition pattern of China's regional blockchain industry has a decisive role in the development of China's blockchain industry.Grasping this new point of economic growth can further enhance China's overall national strength and international status.After explaining the background and significance of the research on the blockchain industry,this article first analyzes the current status of the development of the global and China's blockchain industry from four aspects: blockchain industry policy,industry scale,financing,and patent application.The competition pattern of China's blockchain industry shows an early agglomeration effect,mainly concentrated in the Bohai Rim region,the Pearl River Delta region,the Yangtze River Delta region,and the Sichuan-Chongqing region.Secondly,based on the reference to the relevant literature on the evaluation of industrial competitiveness,following the seven principles of comprehensiveness,scientific,and availability,a total of 12 indicators were selected at four levels,and a set of blockchain industry competitiveness evaluation indicators was initially established.At the same time,a preliminary hierarchical clustering of the two perspectives of the development of the blockchain industry in 28 cities in China was conducted by means of cluster analysis.The development of the blockchain industry was divided into 4 levels and the 2016 and 2017 points were compared vertically.Layer changes and their causes.Thirdly,SPSS25 software is used to make principal component analysis on the competitiveness of the blockchain industry in 2016 and 2017 of 28 major cities with the most representative development of the blockchain industry in China.Based on the comprehensive evaluation,scoring and ranking of the competitiveness of the blockchain industry in each city,the competitiveness pattern of the blockchain industry in China is further analyzed,and the reasons for the changes in the competitiveness pattern of the blockchain industry are discussed in combination with the latest data.Finally,on the basis of synthesizing the status quo and empirical research in this article,it is proposed that in order to improve the competitiveness of China's blockchain industry,supervision and support must be parallel.The introduction of traditional investment institutions,the in-depth excavation of excellent blockchain projects,and the promotion of blockchain projects,Training of blockchain talents,etc.,suggesting and summing up the shortcomings of this article's research and prospects for future research and development.
