In the period of rapid growth of China's new society,a large number of new concepts and products have continuously flooded into the market.People's eating habits have also gradually changed from a traditionally meat-oriented portion,towards a more modern,nutritionally balanced nutrition,which has led to earth-shaking changes for the food on the consumers' tables.With the popularization of the concept of health science and diet,the entire food industry has also been confronted by unprecedented opportunities and challenges.Under fierce market competition,companies are actively developing and producing new products to meet the growing market demand;at the same time,reducing costs to enhance competitiveness.This article takes the product F of company T as an example,the product has entered the market with the concept of healthy diet and has won the favor of many related companies and consumers in a short period of time.Enormous market demand has pushed the product F into a situation of short supply very quickly.The production issues not only the yield is not enough to meet the market demand,but also the operation cost in the initial stage stays high,especially the negative influence in the packaging area shows much more obvious,which locates at the end of the production line.This thesis will combine the relevant knowledge and tools of operational management to analyze and improve the operational status of the packaging area.The following aspects will be used to analyze and optimize the problems existed in this area.Firstly,basic overview of the layout of the production space and dynamic production data.Secondly,using 5WHY analysis methods to analyze the low output of the area,the high inventory of WIP products and the overstock of packaging materials.Thirdly,Present options to improve the production efficiency,reduce the volume of WIP products and optimize material inventory management.This research not only offers solutions to solve the shortfall in the production packaging area,but also to further improve the awareness of continuous improvement in the packaging section,and finally achieves the goals of improved production efficiency,elevated production output,low operational cost and supply-demand balance.
