After the call of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" was put forward,new enterprises sprang up in an endless stream,but the characteristics of "small" and "new" hindered the survival and development of new enterprises.To be specific,due to the small scale,it is difficult for new enterprises to obtain resources,while the status of new enterprises entering the industry makes them lack of reputation,which further increases the difficulty of obtaining resources,thus hindering the survival and development of new enterprises.According to relevant data,52.7 percent of new enterprises have withdrawn from the market after four years.Some researchers have found that social capital is the decisive factor to overcome the problem of resource constraint.The existing researches on social capital mostly discuss the influence of social capital,but little attention is paid to the formation of social capital.However,only by understanding the formation of social capital,can we effectively obtain resources from social network and solve the resource dilemma of new enterprises.In view of this,this study explores the formation mechanism of social capital in entrepreneurial teams of new enterprises in combination with the characteristics that entrepreneurial activities are gradually changing from individual to team.In this study,a total of 128 entrepreneurial teams from Shanghai,Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces were selected to explore the relationship between team leader's cognitive style,team network orientation,team social capital,and team leader's gender role.Research findings :(1)the cognitive style of team leaders has a significant impact on team social capital.The rational style of team leadership has a significant positive impact on team social capital,and the intuitive style of team leadership also has a significant positive impact on team social capital.(2)team network orientation plays a completely mediating role between team leader's cognitive style and team's social capital.Team network orientation plays a completely mediating role between team leader's rational style and team's social capital,while team leader's intuitive style has no significant mediating effect on team's social capital through team network orientation.(3)the feminization of team leadership has a significant positive moderating effect on the mediating effect of team leadership rationality style on team social capital through team network orientation,which moderates the first half of the mediating effect.In other words,the high femininity of team leaders will enhance the mediating effect of the rational style of team leadership on the social capital of the team through the team network orientation.The research results verify some theoretical assumptions and explain the formation mechanism of social capital of entrepreneurial teams to a certain extent.The theory enriches the existing research results of social capital and provides enlightenment for new enterprises to increase social capital in practice and solve the resource dilemma.
