The literature relevant to creativity is diverse in approach.Many researchers have claimed that supervisor support and coworker support have influence on employee creativity due to the positive effects it can have in the workplace.However,most of the previous studies examined the independent contributions of supervisor and coworker,while the purpose of our study to examine the independent and joint contributions of supervisor support and coworker support,which has rarely been done in the literature.This study investigates how supervisor support and coworker support influence employee creativity.In addition to investigate the mediating role played by intrinsic motivation in the relationship between supervisor' / coworker' support and employee creativity.The data of this study have been collected from employees in different departments at Health Ministry in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa through 158 questionnaires.The data were analyzed using SPSS program.The findings showed the support from both supervisor and coworkers had a positive impact on employee creativity.Also,it showed that intrinsic motivation mediates the positive relationship between the support of supervisor and coworkers,and employee creativity,thus our hypotheses of this study were supported.These findings had provided additional value to demonstrate the importance of support from supervisor and coworker in influencing employee creativity,and clarified the mediating role of intrinsic motivation in the path from both supervisor support and coworkers support to employee creativity.It also had important implications for organizations.These findings provided an indicator of the importance that organizations should be conscious of the support perceptions from the supervisor and coworker to create a supportive environment for employee creativity.In addition,the organizations should pay more attention to the psychological and emotional reactions of employees to the supportive work environment.So,the management of organizations will be more able to direct the impact of the supportive work environment to appropriate psychological and emotional effects and ultimately to gain more creativity.Therefore,this study can be the guideline for organizations to improve employee creativity.
