One belt, one road initiative has been implemented since the reform and opening up.The economic and trade development of the western region has been increasing with the neighboring countries. The economic development has been greatly improved. However, compared with other regions, the overall economic development level of the western region is still lagging behind, and the gap between residents' incomes is quite large.? In order to eliminate the gap between residents' incomes, since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, income distribution has adhered to the idea of "raising, expanding and raising the low",in which the term "expanding" refers to expanding the middle-income groups, and "expanding" can cross the middle-income trap and make the economy develop higher and faster. Therefore, the research on the middle-income groups in the western region is of contemporary significance and helps In China as a whole faster and better development. At present, the income distribution gap in the western region is widening, and the proportion of the middle-income groups continues to be suppressed. However,in the field of the middle-income groups in the western region, there are few studies at home and abroad. In order to prevent the "M-type" social income distribution pattern of "two ends are big and the middle is small",it is urgent to increase the middle-income groups in the western region.First of all, based on the data of China's household nutrition and Health Survey(CHNS),this paper makes descriptive statistical analysis on the income of residents in the western region from various perspectives, and obtains the development and trend of their proportion by using the adaptive method in the nuclear estimation. In the process of determining the middle-income groups in the western region,it is found that the definition of75%-125% of the median is the most appropriate, and then based on this,it is found that the definition of 75%-125% of the median is the most appropriate The corresponding proportion of towns and villages in the western region is calculated. Then, from the macro perspective, the paper analyzes the influencing factors that cause the change of the proportion of middle-income groups in the western region.Through the combination of nuclear density estimation and dynamic decomposition method,it is found that in urban areas, the effect of economic growth changes from inhibition and expansion of middle-income groups to promotion, while the effect of income distribution continues to be restrained, and the effect of standard line change is always promoted; In rural areas, the effect of economic growth has always been promoted, the effect of income distribution has continued to be suppressed, and the effect of standard line changes has been generally promoted and occasionally suppressed. Finally, from the micro perspective, this paper analyzes the influencing factors of the proportion change of middle-income groups in the western region, establishes a model by means of quantile regression, and finds out the influencing factors of middle-income groups from the three categories of personal factors, occupational factors and other factors, and finds out the gender, age and education factors under personal factors, occupational types, employment types and Unit type factors and other factors such as whether there is a second occupation and whether there is a medical insurance factor will have a corresponding impact, and then through the dynamic decomposition method, comprehensive macro effect decomposition,a comprehensive analysis of how the proportion of middle-income groups changes under the micro characteristics.Based on the above research, the corresponding suggestions are put forward: to change the mode of economic growth and improve economic efficiency;to strengthen the adjustment of income distribution and narrow the gap between the rich and the poor;to improve the education level of residents and eliminate gender differences;to enhance employment opportunities and open up employment channels;to optimize the security system and innovate the tax rate.
