Since the “Belt and Road” initiative was launched in 2013,the countries along the route have adhered to the concepts of common cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win,openness,tolerance,mutual learning and mutual learning, and have made great progress in economy and society. The economic cooperation between China and the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” is also getting closer and closer, and the amount of direct investment in the countries along the route is hitting record highs.According to the latest data statistics,in 2018,China 's direct investment in countries along the “Belt and Road” has reached 17.9 billion US dollars, accounting for about 12.5% of China 's total foreign investment. On the one hand,China's direct investment in countries along the route has promoted infrastructure construction and economic development in the areas along the route. At the same time,it has also effectively relieved the pressure on China's current overcapacity, which is conducive to China's industrial upgrading under the "new normal" economy.Against the above background, the article mainly explores whether China's direct investment in countries along the “Belt and Road” has promoted China's industrial upgrading. The full text is mainly divided into five parts, the introduction part, mainly including the topic selection and significance of the paper, the research method and framework of the paper, literature review, the innovation points and shortcomings of the paper. The first chapter is the theoretical basis and impact research mechanism of the article.Based on the generalization of the classic theories,it mainly expounds the impact of foreign direct investment on industrial upgrading from the perspectives of capital accumulation, technology leadership, and industrial transfer. The second chapter is the current status of China 's direct investment in the countries along the “Belt and Road” and the current status of domestic industrial development. It mainly includes the reasons for China 's direct investment in the countries along the “Belt and Road”,the current status of China 's direct investment in the “Belt and Road” countries, and the current status of China 's industrial structure.Problems.The third chapter is the empirical test. The article determines the variables of the model through Channari's "standard structure",selects the data of China's direct investment in the "Belt and Road" countries from 2004 to 2018,and establishes a VAR time series model. This shows that China's direct investment in countries along the route has a certain time lag to China's industrial upgrading. In the short term, the promotion effect is not obvious, and in the long term, the promotion effect is more and more significant. The conclusion of the article is the conclusion and recommendations.First, the three conclusions of this article are summarized based on the content of the full text, and then relevant suggestions are proposed from the government and enterprise levels.
