Food security has always been closely linked with the national economy, people's livelihood and social stability of all countries. In the process of industrialization and urbanization, the combination of farming households and income diversification has become a common situation in China's rural areas. The co-employment of farmers usually leads to changes in the relationship between people and land in rural areas and even affects the food security in China. With the advancement of agricultural and rural modernization, the steady increase of maize yield is conducive to ensuring national food security. How to improve the use efficiency of land resources and realize agricultural scale management has increasingly become an important research topic. In recent years,a variety of new agricultural service management methods such as production link outsourcing and whole-process trusteeship have appeared in rural areas. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to promote agricultural modernization in China to explore the relationship between farmers' concurrent business and their choice of operation mode.Based on 955 survey data from three provinces in northeast China, this paper studies the impact of farmers' part-time jobs on their choice of operation mode.It classifies farmers by the proportion of their non-agricultural income, conducts descriptive statistical analysis and econometric model estimation, and further studies the impact of part-time jobs on their choice of operation mode.Research results show that households age, level of education, the head of the household family support factor promotes farmers choose outsourcing production and the managed mode of operation, physical health, the planting fixed number of year, the scale of operation, land and finely degree and has a number of agricultural machinery and suppresses farmers choose production link of outsourcing and the entire managed mode of operation; As for the core variables of this paper, the proportion of household non-agricultural income and the proportion of household migrant workers play a promoting role in farmers' choice of production outsourcing and whole-process custody, that is,part-time employment is conducive to farmers' choice of production outsourcing and whole-process custody. In the estimation results of the three sub-sample models, the proportion of household non-agricultural income and the proportion of household workers both play a promoting role in the selection of farming households' operation modes of production outsourcing and whole-process trusteeship, but the significance of the influence presents different results. In the estimation results of the pure peasant household model, the proportion of household non-agricultural income and the proportion of household migrant workers have no obvious influence on the choice of farm households to outsource production and manage the wholeprocess. In the estimation results of the one-and-one farmer model, the impacts of the proportion of household non-agricultural income and the proportion of household workers on the operation mode of farmers' choice of production outsourcing and whole-process trusteeship both passed the significance test, but the impacts on the choice of production outsourcing were more obvious. In the estimation results of the two-side-farm model, the impacts of the proportion of household non-farm income and the proportion of household workers on the operation mode of farm households' choice of production outsourcing and whole-process trusteeship both passed the significance test, but the impacts on the choice of whole-process trusteeship were more obvious.Based on the above research results, the following policy Suggestions are put forward:First, create more non-agricultural employment opportunities and increase the degree of part-time employment of farmers.Second, strengthen the education and training of farmers to improve their understanding of the new mode of agricultural operation.Third, strengthen the construction of the whole-course trusteeship service system, farmers are encouraged to choose the mode of operation of full trusteeship.
