Research On The Application Of Project Management Office In Internet Enterprises

PMO is also called project management office,project management center or project management department.Among companies that use"projects" as their main work organization,PMO is the core department for improving the maturity of organization management.It is mainly based on the project management knowledge system(PMBOK),combined with the development stage of the enterprise and the characteristics of the work organization,to cultivate a professional project manager team for the enterprise,to provide professional project management processes for the business departments of the enterprise,and to empower project management capabilities of employees...The core goal of setting up PMO in the company is to improve the intensive management of internal projects ability to strengthen the implementation of corporate strategy.With the development of management for a century,the thought oflean management has been undergoing new exploration and practice with the progress of the times.In the past ten years,the rapid development of Internet companies has led to the mainstream of "projects" as a way to promote work.On the other hand,most emerging Internet companies have a short development history and a relatively weak management system.So,refined project management is the only way for Internet companies to explore lean management.This paper will take the project management of Internet companies as the research background,and take multi-project management as the research object.Based on the PMO theory of the Project Management Office,the combination of theory and practice will be used to analyze the application of the Project Management Office in Internet companies and explain how to build an efficient PMO mode.The paper will first introduce domestic and foreign related multi-project management and related research of the project management office,and analyze the current multi-project management and PMO development status.Combining the development status of PMO with the application scenarios of Internet companies,this paper discusses the application modes and existing problems of PMOs in Internet D companies,summarizes their effectiveness and improvements,and how PMOs can effectively play in the emerging organizational format of Internet companies.Company D in this article belongs to a typical Internet company.The practical research and summary of its PMO model can provide horizontal reference for similar companies.
