A Study On The Impact Of China-Laos Economic And Trade Cooperation On The Economic Development Of Laos

China and Laos are adjacent to each other on land.China has a long history in political,economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation.Bilateral trade has a long history.In recent years,the increasingly frequent trade exchanges are accelerating the healthy development of China-Laos relations,and the two countries are constantly pioneering and innovating in the field of economic investment.As of 2018,China has become the largest investor in Laos,and China is now the second largest trading partner of Laos.The economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has a positive and significant impact on both sides.China's economic and trade cooperation with Laos,including trade cooperation,direct investment,and international assistance,has injected tremendous vitality into the Lao economy,and pushed the domestic economy of Laos to continue to improve and its economic development rate to steadily increase,the economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos has played a very important role in the socioeconomic development of Laos.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of the thesis,reviews the domestic and foreign scholars' literature in this field,and expounds the contents and methods of the research;the second chapter expounds the theoretical basis,the theory of comparative advantage,the theory of competitive advantage,the theory of intra-industry trade,the theory of international division of labor,and the situation of economic and trade cooperation between China and the old,as the theoretical basis and cushion of this study;The third chapter analyzes the development of Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation,first combs the history of Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation development,combined with the development of Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation,the different stages of Sino-Lao economic and trade development are summarized.In addition,it summarizes the contents of the current economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos,and makes an in-depth analysis on three aspects: China-Lao trade cooperation,investment cooperation and China's assistance to Laos;Chapter IV,on the basis of the above analysis,analyzes the positive and negative effects of Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation on Lao economic development,the effects of Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation on Lao economic growth and people's income,the negative effects of Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation on Lao economy from five aspects: unbalanced trade volume,unreasonable trade structure,low degree of trade facilitation,existence of trade barriers and imperfect logistics facilities needed for trade,and summarizes the negative effects of Lao investment cooperation on Lao economy from four aspects: imperfect foreign investment system,too concentrated investment industry,underdeveloped market and small scale,and imperfect infrastructure;Chapter V Countermeasures for Promoting the Healthy Development of the Lao-China Economic and Trade Cooperation,Combined with the full text of the study,this paper believes that we should comprehensively deepen the economic and trade cooperation between China and the Lao People's Democratic Republic from the aspects of strengthening infrastructure construction,transforming the structure of trade and investment,perfecting trade policy,establishing a policy system of economic and trade cooperation,optimizing the domestic trade and investment environment,seizing the historical opportunity of the "Belt and Road" initiative,strengthening the construction of infrastructure investment in Laos and establishing a mechanism for economic and trade development cooperation.Through the study of this paper,it is concluded that Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation has very significant positive significance for Lao economic development,is very important for driving the overall development of Lao economic level,and Sino-Lao economic and trade cooperation still has great potential.The two countries need to continue to deepen economic and trade cooperation in various fields.
