As a large country with large territory,China has always attached importance to the rationality of the regional spatial structure, and promoted the optimization of the regional spatial structure by adopting a regional development strategy. Therefore, how to promote the optimization of regional spatial structure has become one of the topics of common concern for academia and policy makers.Existing studies have systematically discussed the regional spatial structure, and formed a representative understanding of the "point-axis" spatial structure,dual-core spatial structure,circle-layer spatial structure, and network spatial structure.Analyzing the spatial structure,we can find one thing in common, that is,we need to cultivate growth poles as the basis for its development. From the perspective of the development and application of growth pole theory, the regional spatial structure is developing in the direction of multi-polar network. However,it should be noted that, from the perspective of the assumptions implied by the growth pole theory, the scope of its research is relatively small, the main solution is the relationship between the growth pole and the hinterland. The relationship between multiple growth poles cannot be effectively solved, and to a certain extent,it cannot effectively explain the phenomenon of the evolution of regional spatial structure from unipolar support to multipolar drive. This also means that the aforementioned representative knowledge faces certain difficulties in explaining the evolution of the regional spatial structure. Therefore, this article studies the regional spatial structure from the perspective of regional economic multipolar growth, constructs growth pole and regional economic multipolar growth indicators, and analyzes the current status and characteristics of China's regional spatial structure. And further build a spatial econometric model to reveal the factors that affect the evolution of China's regional spatial structure.First, this paper studies the relevant literature on regional spatial structure, including the theoretical origin and spatial structure model of regional spatial structure, the measurement method of regional spatial structure and the influencing factors of regional spatial structure.Combing out the ideas of studying regional spatial structure from the perspective of regional economic multipolar growth. This article combines the literature review and further investigates the location theory. It is believed that analyzing the evolution of regional spatial structure from the perspective of economic subject and location matching can provide a micro foundation for studying the evolution of regional spatial structure from the perspective of regional economic multipolar growth. The mechanism of regional spatial structure evolution is analyzed.Secondly, this paper constructs a measure index of growth pole and multi-pole growth of regional economy to analyze the characteristics of China's regional spatial structure. On the whole,China has now formed a structure of multi-polar regional economic growth. From 2005 to 2017,China's regional spatial structure has undergone an evolutionary process of regional economic multi-polar growth from high-level linkages to low-level linkages to high-level linkages. From a regional perspective, the spatial structure of the four regions is quite different. In terms of the measured regional economic multipolar growth index, the central region ranks first, the eastern region ranks second, the western region ranks third, and the northeastern region has the lowest regional economic multipolar growth, and showed a unipolar growth in 2016.status.From the perspective of the national growth pole,China has now formed a multi-polar growth spatial structure supported by the growth poles of the seven major countries. The growth poles of the seven major countries are the Bohai Rim growth pole, the Yangtze River Delta growth pole, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Pole,Central Plains Growth Pole,Middle Yangtze River Growth Pole,Guanzhong Growth Pole and Chengdu-Chongqing Growth Pole. Finally, this paper builds a spatial econometric model to analyze the influencing factors of the regional spatial structure evolution in China. The results show that the economic spatial connection of China's prefecture-level and above-level cities has experienced an evolution process of first strengthening, then weakening and then strengthening. The estimation results of the spatial Dubin model show that with other variables unchanged,at the end of the year, when the permanent population increases by 1%,the regional GDP increases by 0.075064%;for every 1% increase in the proportion of fixed asset investment in GDP,the regional GDP increased by 0.000273%;when the urban road area increases by 1%,the regional GDP increases by 0.022159%.For every 1% increase in the number of internet users, the regional GDP will increase by 0.013863%;for every 1% increase in the value added of the industry to the added value of the tertiary industry, the regional GDP increased by 0.000431%;.and for every 1% increase in the proportion of fiscal expenditure in GDP,the regional GDP will decrease by 0.002588%.Based on the above research conclusions, this article gives corresponding policy recommendations.First, the flow of population between regions should be guided through government policies and corporate cooperation.Second,we should strengthen the construction of urban transportation infrastructure, promote the interconnection of infrastructure, and further increase the popularity of the Internet to promote more direct and effective communication within and between regions. In addition,it is necessary to promote the industrial structure upgrade by promoting inter-regional factor flow and industrial transfer to form an industrial collaboration system with a reasonable division of labor and complementary advantages. Finally, reduce direct government financial intervention in economic activities, promote the flow of factors through policy guidance and other means, and play the role of the market in resource allocation.
