With the acceleration of the socialization process and the continuous improvement of the level of economic development,the role of administrative assistants has become increasingly important.The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the specificity of the administrative assistant of a human resources organization in a multinational corporation in China,and to explore the complexity and special high quality of this role in terms of multi-faceted skills and strong cross-cultural communication skills.Firstly,this thesis traces the source of administrative assistants and clarifies the positioning and meaning of human resources assistants.Secondly,based on the three-pillar framework of human resources organization proposed by David Ulrich,this thesis discusses the specific work content,functions and roles of human resources assistants in foreign companies in China.Thirdly,after summarize and analyze the related job advertisements,the thesis found out the qualities required by assistants can divide into two categories: general qualities and specific qualities.Combined with work content and cross-cultural communication factors,the general qualities of human resource assistants are communication and intercultural communication skills,rigorous and meticulous work style,and the desire to pursue excellence.COE assistants need to have data analysis on specific qualities.HRBP assistants should emphasize teamwork and SSC assistants should have a sense of service.Finally,the thesis discusses the differences between foreign enterprises in China and state-owned enterprises and the countries where the enterprises are located.Compared with state-owned enterprises,because of the different organizational structures and management models,human resources assistants in foreign enterprises in China have differences in fouraspects: capacity,work orientation,selection criteria,and development path.Compared with the country where the company is located,because of cross-cultural factors,human resources assistants of foreign companies in China have differences in responsibility description and scope of work,role positioning and management form,life balance and salary.Through the above analysis and induction,it will enrich the related research of administrative assistants and provide reference and reference for human resources assistant work.
