Study On The Strategic Decision Support Function Of Senior Administrative Assistant In Large Private Company

This thesis makes a comparison between the senior administrative assistant and its Secretariat Department in Samsung and Company A, with the reference of some Chinese private company, to discuss the problem of senior adminstrative assistant in attending the strategic decision making in nowadays. And find the solutions of how adminstrative assistant in private company can successfully attend the strategic decision making.This thesis stands on the angle of strategic management to study the cases with the theory of Secretary and Management to analyze the problem, and digs out the main reasons of why senior adminstrative assistant has difficulty in attending the strategic decision making: The entrepreneur doesn’t take seriously of strategic decision support by senior adminstrative assistant; The company lacks the organization and process support for senior adminstrative assistant to attend the strategic decision making; The strategic decision support function hasn’t been clarified in the company and senior adminstrative assistant himself lacks the sense of supporting the strategic decision making; Lack of ability for supporting the strategic decision making.Aimed at these problems, this thesis finds corresponding pratical solutions: For the entrepreneur, he should have strong needs for strategic decision supporting; For the administrative class, senior administratve assistant should have the equal class with the manager of every Business Unit or department; For the range of power, besides the rights of strategic instructions, senior administratve assistant should master some power that can make a balance with other Business Units or departments; For the organizational structure, there should be a special strategic decision study organization in Secretariat Department which is in charged by senior administratve assistant; For the relationships of organizations, Secretariat Department should have an strategic instructional relationship with every Business Unit or department; For the clarity of function, the company should clarify that senior administrative should have the function of supporting the CEO to make strategic decisions; For the workflow, the senior administratve assistant should master 7 procedures of strategic decision supporting; For the ability, senior administratve assistant should know well the whole knowledge structure of strategic decision supporting and have corresponding qualities and abilities.
