Abstract/Summary:
This creative project consists of the creation of two wordless picture books directed toward preschoolers of Puerto Rican schools.;The books present traditional Puerto Rican characters that coincide in the same place with North American traditional characters that coexist in our culture. For example, in the first visual text Ratoncito is found with the Tooth Fairy, and in the second text the Three Kings are found with Santa Claus.;The production of these books contribute in providing examples of still known popular format in Puerto Rico. The same also contributes to the cultural heritage of Puerto Rican children and celebrates the opportunity to obtain a variety of books created with themes and images that gives view to their Puerto Rican reality, and at the same time are enjoyable yet educational.
