| The Logistic Map is a simple equation used to generate unpredictable chaotic signals. The pseudo-random nature and spread spectrum power of the Logistic Map make it a useful and simple means of generating noise-like signals that are often used in the fields of cryptography and covert communications. However, its non uniform probability distribution and statistical dependence between consecutive values make the Logistic Map detectable and subject to attack from statistical analysis. This paper presents a solution to these problems using histogram equalization and additional iterations between samples. An improved spread spectrum image steganography process and a new lookup table algorithm are defined and evaluated. |
