Abstract/Summary:
Royal Roads University (RRU) has stated in planning documents that it wishes to have more participants from the private sector enrolled in its Master of Arts in Leadership and Training (MALT) program in order to develop a richer balance of learning exchanges between the private and public sectors of society. This study looks at ways to increase enrollment in the Classic MALT program from the business sector.; Using a mixed-method approach that is principally qualitative but also quantitative, this action research project engaged several stakeholder groups who were interested in and who know about the MALT program. The project methodology comprised interviews, surveys, and focus group collaborations with RRU staff and faculty members, current and graduate learners, and business leaders. The methodology also included a benchmarking of best marketing practices, in which the project compares curricular and organizational highlights of programs at other business and leadership schools.
