Abstract/Summary:
A Student's Guide to the Constitution is a creative final project that attempts to portray the Constitution in a manner that is fun and interesting for high school students. It was developed by an 11 th grade United States History teacher in an effort to increase her students' knowledge of the Constitution and is an accumulation of the information that she gained throughout her graduate studies. The guide is broken into sections that provide students with background knowledge, specific information about the Constitution, and ways by which students can apply their knowledge of the Constitution to other events that took place throughout history. In addition to the guide, an accompanying paper looks at educational practices utilized throughout the guide, and provides an explanation of how and why the guide was created.
