Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this research project is to establish the importance of CRPS to advance ECI, through critical reflections and changed perceptions, in order to allay blame, and expand the individual awareness of possible options and alternatives available for resolving the issues of a conflict. This research project will establish a discourse on the philosophy and concept of CRPS to significantly impact ECI, and increase sustainable conflict resolution processes through the testing of the following hypothesis.; Hypothesis. Implementation of the conflict resolution preparation strategy model in D division will raise awareness and stimulate interest in the practice of early conflict intervention. To address this hypothesis, I will employ Morton Deutsch's (1991) subjectivist view, to discuss the process of changing the individual's perception through the employment of CRPS. As interest in CRPS grows, I will put forward the applicability of CRPS will expand to include early conflict intervention options, that will serve as building blocks for sustainable resolution outcomes agreed upon, before contentious behaviour and ill will sets in.
