Abstract/Summary:
Because of limited face-to-face class time, the Course-Director is searching for a distributed learning solution that would enable her to provide a richer, more meaningful and effective learning package. She recognizes that the objective to facilitate fully functioning and well-planned teams is not being met by the current design of the course. The availability of the learning management system hosted by the University encourages research into its use toward a solution. This creates the opportunity for a research project focusing on a solution for the Director's and learners' dilemmas---how to be more efficient, effective and professional in a short period of time. The research questions flowing from this need are as follows: What elements of a distributed learning course contribute to satisfaction in team formation and advanced planning?
