Abstract/Summary:
In this thesis, a sample of approaches in astrophysics for solving the problems of particle physics are explored. These problems include the discovery and identification of particle dark matter (supersymmetric as well as other types), searches for extra spatial dimensions near the TeV scale and top-down solutions to the ultra-high energy cosmic ray problem.; With the recent and future developments of neutrino astronomy, gamma-ray astronomy, EeV cosmic ray physics and other areas, questions which were left to collider physicists in the past are now being addressed in the context of astro-particle physics. This thesis demonstrates how particle physics problems can be addressed by astrophysics experiments and discusses the prospects for such experiments to make observations of physics beyond the standard model of particle physics.
