Abstract/Summary:
Advances in information system technology had a big impact on the evolution of the supply chain management. The sharing of the data and the information between the various constituents of a supply chain is an essential matter to do better planning of the production. However, between the shop floor data collection and the management-level systems we find a lack of data traffic.; This project defines and structures the flow of the information and the data shared between the production equipments and the planning tools in a flexible production context. We first present a definition of the supply chain, their management strategies and their difficulties. Then, we introduce the concept of just-in-time, its implementing conditions and the Kanban tool. We also describe the enterprise resource planning systems that come to facilitate the supply chain management and to integrate the just-in-time. Modules as well as information circulating within are explained.; Next, we explain and realize the collection of information from the shop floor of production with the use of the production equipments and a manufacturing execution system (MES). From the scheduling system to the production equipment, the approach used to establish the communication is the use of an electronic interface to translate the sequences of production into manufacturing orders without any human intervention. Finally, an example is detailed for full comprehension of the proposed approach.
