California Assembly Bill 2404 Fair Play in Community Sports Act compliance procedures manual

The purpose of this project was to develop a procedures manual specifically for California Assembly Bill 2404 Fair Play in Community Sports Act.. Community youth athletic programs include all sports clubs and leagues that conduct their practices and games on government operated properties. This procedures manual will enable local governments to effectively protect themselves against potential gender discrimination lawsuits based on the AB 2404 statutes. This project contains information pertinent to the achievement of effective gender equity training and evaluation for local governments and their community youth athletic programs. This project informs users of the importance of compliance with the AB 2404 law and the consequences of non-compliance. Lastly this procedures manual will give local governments the necessary tools to ensure gender equity in all community youth athletic programs that operate in local government spaces including parks and recreation facilities and open spaces.
