Research On Process Transformation For SPM Project Management Of Company DSM

SPM(Single Point Mooring System),known as "oil terminal",is a transfer station for oil and gas transmission between the sea and land.Through it,the ship can realize the transmission of oil and gas without docking.It is the core offshore equipment and a developing product of company DSM.Although the project team made many efforts,due to the lack and imperfection of SPM project management procedure,the efficiency was low,and the expected purpose wasn’t achieved.Company DSM needs the process transformation.Comparing the performance of SPM project management of DSM Company with the objectives of SPM project management,and combining the process and current situation of SPM project management,this document concludes that the main problems of SPM project management are project delay,cost overrun and low customer satisfaction.Through root cause analysis and project management process analysis,it can be found that:(1)The SPM project management process is missing or imperfect,the project organization framework is unreasonable,and it is not sufficient to coordinate the project management team,functional departments and the company’s executive leadership.(2)The simple organization mode of the SPM sales stage is not suitable for the complex SPM project,and the information of the sales stage can’t be effectively transferred to the execution stage.The success of the project is determined by the project management system itself,boundary constraints and input conditions.Finally,in SPM project management boundary constraints and input conditions,it gives solution in the process transformation and organizational innovation,and continuous improvement in the subsequent management process.In conclusion,the transformation of SPM project management process is the result of the combination of contemporary project management theory and SPM project management practice;it solves the practical problems of Company DSM.In addition,company DSM is the epitome of China’s state-owned enterprises,which is representative.The research and problem solving on SPM project management also has an example and reference significance for the industry development.
