This study regards the key motions of cycling as a reference standard for three-dimensional body scanning experiment and gathers the data of three-dimensionalstatic state and key motions of 40 young men with cycling experience.By comparing the length, the circumference and the surface of body skin in cycling to those in static state, this study calculates the rate of body skin change under the key cycling motions thus summarizes the rules of change.Based on the surface flattening technology, this study transfers the three-dimensional body data into two-dimensional surface.According to the pattern making principles, the two-dimensional surface is made to available two-dimensional garment pieces.Combined with the rules of static and dynamic body skin change, the body surfacefeatures and the muscle group distribution, this study, taking the average body sizes, the rate of body skin lines change and the ease-adding principles as references, calculates the structure size and constructs the basic pattern. And then we make the elastic test of the fabric to calculate the horizontal and longitudinal elongation.By introducing the “conversion coefficient”,the pattern grading allowance is calculated for making the elastic fabric pattern.Through the fabrication of the sample pants and fitting feedback, the pattern is adjusted to better meet the needs of cycling and finally verifies the feasibility of the conversion coefficient.
