Underground open channel is one of the important ways of mine drainage.Monitoring the open channel water flow can reflect the total underground seepage.By analyzing the change of open channel water flow within a fixed period of time,a certain degree of early warning can be given to the mine water damage,and the probability of mine water damage accidents can be reduced.By analyzing the shape and depth-to-width ratio of the open channels of many mines in Shandong and Jiangsu,the open channel with shallow and wide rectangular cross section was determined as the research object.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the current commonly used open channel flow measurement methods,the "water surface velocity method"was selected to measure the open channel flow.The three necessary parameters to be measured by using the "water surface velocity method" to measure open channel flow are determined:the three measurement parameters of the thickness of the mud layer,the height of the water level,and the surface flow rate of the surface layer of the open channel center line.By analyzing the necessary requirements of the measurement parameters,it is determined that the simulation manual measurement method is used for parameter measurement.Multi-measurement parameters are monitored by simulating manual measurement of open channel flow,velocity,mud layer thickness,water level height,environmental temperature,etc.,so that the mine staff can timely grasp the open channel water flow and open channel working conditions.The open channel flow measurement device designed in this paper measures the position of the mud and water interface at the bottom of the open channel through the combination of the Hall switch and-the encoder motor,and measures the height of the upper surface of the open.channel through the ultrasonic ranging sensor,and then calculates the thickness of the open channel water layer.The front end of the telescopic arm of the measuring device is equipped with a rotary flow meter to measure the water velocity near the water surface of the center line of the open channel.And transmit the measured data to the ground monitoring computer via WIFI or M-BUS bus in real time for flow calculation,storage,warning and sharing.
