As the final machining process for mechanical parts, the accuracy, efficiency and quality of grinding machining directly influence the level of mechanical manufacturing. Grinding active measurement control instrument is an instrument that is used to measure the size of workpiece and control the process of grinding machining, can improve the accuracy and efficiency of grinding effectively, which has been widely used in the process of grinding. However, the domestic research for active measurement control technology started relatively late, and had a big gap with the developed countries. The domestic active measurement control instrument is connected with grinding machine in the form of external device, and is vulnerable to the influence of bad grinding environment; less channel and limited measurement project of active measurement control instrument directly affect the efficiency of products, consistency, and cost. So it has a very important significance for expanding the function of active measurement control instrument and improving the accuracy and efficiency of grinding that studying deeply the screen and machine separation technology and the measurement channel extension technology of grinding active measurement control instrument. The main research content of this paper is as follows:In view of the defect that the working environment of grinding active measurement control instrument is bad and the host control device is easily affected by external environment, on the basis of the analysis and research for software and hardware platform of the Z3000 A active measurement control instrument based on industrial control board, this paper puts forward the screen and machine separation technology, builds the screen and machine separation system solution, and realizes the design of hardware and software system. The image signal distortion problem in the process of the screen and machine separation is effectively solved using twisted-pair balanced differential transmission technology, and the screen touch signal is transmitted through twisted-pair transmission equipment.Against the problem that existing active measurement control instrument is short of measurement channels and measuring project is limited, and need urgently one machine with many measuring devices, based on the analysis of the structure and working principle of the Z3000 A active measurement control instrument, this paper proposes a measurement channel extension method based on CAN bus technology, builds measurement channel extension system solution, implements the design of hardware circuit and software program. The realization of the measuring channel expansion of active measurement control instrument based on CAN bus technology makes one instrument can simultaneously monitor more online grinding processes of grinding machines, which improves the efficiency and consistency of product processing, reduces the cost, and facilitates the unified management.The experiment and analysis are implemented for the Z3000 A active measurement control instrument based on the screen and machine separation system solution, and the experimental result is compared with the result that extends directly the VGA signal lines, which realize the long-distance undistorted transmission of the image signal and avoid the impact of external environment on host control device; the corresponding interfaces of the Z3000 A active measurement control instrument are designed and developed, and The experiment and analysis are implemented based on measurement channel extension system solution, which realize the data real-time communication and interaction between grinding active measurement control instrument and the measurement channels. The experiments verify the feasibility and validity of the screen and machine separation scheme and measurement channel extension scheme.Through the research for the screen and machine separation and the measurement channel extension in this paper, the functions of active measurement control instrument are expanded, and the measuring precision and the machining efficiency are raised. The results of the research have an important theoretical significance and practical value, and have a good market prospect.
