Nowadays,with the rapid development of the global economy,business process management is the key to the survival and development of an enterprise.Whether a company can manage business processes to a large extent determines the future operation and development strategy of an enterprise.The management of business is related to customer satisfaction.Better product quality will bring higher profits and lower management costs to enterprises.Therefore,research and improvement of business process has strong practical guiding significance.This paper uses the method of literature research,qualitative analysis,quantitative analysis,case analysis and other research methods,based on BG company’s existing ore contract settlement process based on the DMAIC process of Six Sigma Management in order to improve the basis,to improve the enterprise quality management problems through five main processes,and accordingly design the corresponding improvement scheme.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)analysis of the ore contract settlement process of the existing BG company.The existing problems and reasons of the existing ore contract settlement process in BG company are analyzed.(2)the improvement of the ore contract settlement process under DMAIC.According to the DMAIC method of Six Sigma management,the ore contract settlement process of BG company is improved to achieve the goal of shortening the settlement cycle.The paper analyzes the periodic distribution of the ore contract settlement of the west line and the Australian line in the project and the objective of the optimization.Through the critical path method of the network diagram,we find out the critical path that affects the process cycle of the ore settlement contract,and find out the fundamental reason for the long time of the ore settlement cycle,that is,the time of the commodity inspection and the time of payment is too long.The method of reducing the contract settlement cycle of iron ore is given,and the settlement cycle of the improved scheme is evaluated.Through the improvement of the process,with the gradual implementation of the given scheme,the order cycle decreased gradually in Australia order cycle from 250 days to 180 days or so,Brazil order cycle from 278 days to 175 days,has reached the expected goal.As the project continues,the results will get better and better.This will be a practical reference for other companies that have the same type of business with BG company.
