In recent years,the pressure of energy saving and emission reduction in China's iron and steel industry is tremendous.Based on this background,the Northeastern University of China has developed the technology of Direct Rolling for Bar and Rod and applied it to the production of bar and rod successfully.Meanwhile,some technical shortcomings of this technology need to be improved.The article researched on the control of the temperature difference between head and tail of continuous casting billet under the Direct Rolling Technology and gave methods to control the temperature difference.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Based on the process parameters and equipment parameters of Direct Rolling of Bar and Rod,the article established the heat transfer differential model of continuous casting billet under the Direct Rolling of Bar and Rod by Finite Difference Method.Besides,the program of temperature field was made by M language.Furthermore,the simulation results of temperature field were compared with the temperature data of the billet at the entrance and exit of the stretching straightener.The results show the differential model of continuous casting slabs established in this article can guide the actual production.(2)The influence of insulation cover on temperature field of continuous casting slab under the Direct Rolling Process of Bar and Rod was analyzed.Based on the actual equipment parameters of the insulation cover,the heat transfer differential model of the thermal insulation cover was established by FDM.The inside and outside surface temperatures of the insulation cover were collected and compared with the simulation results of the temperature field of the insulation cover.The results show that the temperature field model of the insulation cover can reflect the temperature change of the insulation cover well.(3)The relationship between the inner surface temperature of thermal insulation cover and the surface temperature of continuous casting slab on different roller tables was investigated.The temperature field model of continuous casting slab after adding insulation cover at the specific position in the direct rolling process was established.The simulation results of temperature field are compared with the temperature of the head and tail of continuous casting slab at the entrance of fast roller table which shows that the simulation results are in line with the actual results.(4)Based on the simulation of the temperature field of continuous casting billet under the Direct Rolling Process,the control strategies of the temperature difference between the head and the tail of the cc-billet before it enters the roughing mill was proposed.The first strategy is to increase the casting speed of continuous caster;The second strategy is to add thermal insulation cover at the roller table after cutting.and the third strategy is to install gradient cooling device at the exit of the fast roller table.
