In recent years,with the rapid development of nuclear power industry,the environmental problems caused by uranium mining operations have attracted more and more attention.Among them,the environmental monitoring and evaluation of decommissioned uranium tailings pond after treatment is an important research topic.At the same time,the safety of uranium tailings pond is related to the health and stability of local residents and the ecological environment.Therefore,it is of great significance to establish the uranium tailings pond accident risk assessment model and the uranium tailings pond information management system through scientific methods.In this paper,a uranium tailings pond in Jiangxi province was selected as the research object to monitor the radioactivity in the uranium tailings pond and its surrounding surface environment,and to evaluate and estimate the environmental quality and the radiation dose to the surrounding residents.At the same time,the risk assessment model of uranium tailings pond accident is established by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process).Finally,with the help of ArcGIS Engine software for secondary development,a uranium tailings pond information management system was established.The radioactivity of uranium tailings pond and its surrounding surface environment was measured and compared with the standard limit value.The results showed that the dose-rate was stable on the whole,and only two measuring points were lower than the prescribed limit value in six years.Radon exhalation rate fluctuates greatly,but it is under the limit value.The overall measured value of radon concentration in the air is not high,indicating that the treatment of uranium tailings pond has achieved certain effect.The annual total exposure dose(the sum of external exposure and internal exposure)generated by uranium tailings pond to residents(mainly herders)conforms to the relevant regulations,which are 10%?30%of the annual effective dose management constraint value of 1mSv for the public after decommissioned treatment.It shows that the treatment of uranium tailings pond has achieved long-term stable effect.The measured water sample points showed that the content of radium-226 did not exceed 1.11 Bq /L,which is the management limit of uranium mining and metallurgy industry in China,while the content of uranium exceeded 50?g /L at only a few measuring points.The single factor index method is used to analyze the pollution,and it is concluded that the normal water period is better than the wet period and the dry period,whether it is the uranium standard index or the radium-226 standard index.Based on the analysis and research of the status quo of the safety management of uranium tailings ponds,the information management system of uranium tailings ponds is designed based on the actual situation.The system includes basic data management,data visualization management,analysis and measurement estimation of monitoring results,and risk assessment calculation of uranium tailings ponds.
