With the development of domestic economy and night activities,the light pollution brought by the inappropriate use of artificial light at night has become more and more serious.Quantifying light pollution can contribute to a more reasonable and scientific design of artificial light and its application,so that we can reduce the light pollution from its source.Traditional quantitative methods of light pollution have mainly focused on luminance or illuminance,but the impact of light spectrum on the severity of light pollution has not been sufficiently studied.In reality,however,the severity of light pollution depends on not only luminance,but also other factors such as spectrum,action time,etc.Traditional research methods on this topic exploit the techniques of remotesensing and aerial photography.In this study,we accurately quantified the degree of influence of the specific light source spectrum on the particular organism under certain light pollution environments;we combined the action spectrum of the organisms in the light-polluted environment around high-rise buildings with the information of light sources mainly used in the light pollution environment.The optimized light sources can greatly reduce the adverse effects of light pollution,and some optimization could save a substantial amount of energy in the long run.The light pollution types of the high-rise building facades studied in this paper include the light pollution from RGB tri-chromatic LED light sources outside the glass curtain walls and the light pollution from vertical pc LED billboards.Firstly,this study selected Shenzhen as the research context and synthesized previous related research methods,data sources,analysis methods,etc.Secondly,by measuring the facade lighting sources(39 glass curtain RGB trichromatic LEDs and 22 pc LEDs included)of five districts of Shenzhen,we obtained the information of the luminance and spectrum of the relative facades light sources at night.In addition,the information of some typical animal species of Shenzhen was investigated.Then the degree of light pollution to biological behaviors caused by the light source spectrum was accurately quantified and visualized by combining the action spectrum curves given by relevant studies with the measured light source spectrum and light source luminance.Finally,we optimized the light sources based on the results of measurement and analysis,and these outcomes can be applied to many circumstances.The main content of the optimization is the light source spectrum optimization.The optimized light source spectrum could greatly reduce its impact on the surrounding organisms,which would be a positive ecological implication.Additionally,the optimized light source spectrum could also achieve a better display effect with less energy consumption,which would be a positive implication on resource conservation.
