The initial carbon content of the Fe-C alloy strip was about 4.2 wt%,and the atmosphere composition of Ar-CO-CO2was studied first for the purpose of rapid decarburization and iron non-oxidation.The single-factor variable method was used,and the key factors included the decarburization temperature,decarbonization time,and the strip thickness.In Ar-CO-CO2atmosphere,the decarburization kinetics of Fe-C alloy strip with different level of key factors were systematically studied,and the activation energy of the decarburization reaction was calculated.In the experiments,the strips with a thickness of 2 mm were decarburized at 1293 K,1353 K and 1413 K,respectively.The decarburization time was 60 min.After decarburization,the average decarburization amount was 0.844 wt%,2.130 wt%,and2.874 wt%,respectively.The study found that under given conditions,the higher the decarburization temperature,the greater the amount of decarburization.At 1413 K,the decarburization of the 1mm Fe-C alloy strip was studied.The decarburization time was 10 min?60 min,respectively,the decarburization amount reached 0.82 wt%,1.53 wt%,2.5 wt%,3.05 wt%,3.51 wt%and 3.74 wt%,respectively.The study found that under given conditions,with the extension of decarburization time,the amount of decarburization gradually increased,the increase of decarburization amount gradually decreased,and the decarburization rate gradually decreased.At 1413K,the strips with a thickness of 1mm,1.5 mm,and 2 mm were decarburized for 70 min.The decarburization amount was 3.88 wt%,3.28 wt%,and 3.15 wt%,respectively.Therefore,the thinner the Fe-C alloy strip,the faster the decarburization rate.According to the linear relationship between the logarithm of the average carbon content(lnw)and time,the gas-solid decarburization reaction of the Fe-C alloy strip can be regarded as a first-order reaction.The activation energy for the apparent decarburization reaction of 2 mm Fe-C alloy strip is 125.0×103J/mol,and the activation energy of graphite dissolution is 149.6×103J/mol.Figure 41;Table 11;Reference 51...
