Papermaking,as one of the four great inventions in China,is of great significance in the history of human civilization.Due to the development of industrialization,the traditional papermaking method has been greatly impacted.The industrial papermaking method has almost completely replaced the ancient papermaking technology,and the ancient papermaking technology is at stake.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,China has been carrying out the rescue of cultural heritage,and has implemented numerous measures to protect and promote ancient papermaking.In this era of cultural diversification,participating in hand-made experience has gradually become a choice for many urban people to relax.Hand-made culture has brought new ideas to the protection of cultural heritage due to its unique expression.Redesigning ancient papermaking techniques as a handcraft is a subject worthy of study.This paper first conducted a systematic research on ancient papermaking.Through carding and summarizing the ancient papermaking process,a list analysis of papermaking tools,and a preliminary grasp of papermaking principles.Through a field trip to the Jiajiang River,Sichuan,the specific process of ancient papermaking was investigated.In-depth research with appliances;through experimental simulation,combined with current technical conditions,explore the possibility of redesigning ancient papermaking.Through the research and analysis of the rival industry,explore the ways and possibilities of combining ancient papermaking skills and crafts.Finally,the papermaking process and utensils were integrated and redesigned,and a set of papermaking tools suitable for hand-made experience was designed.People can learn about ancient papermaking through hands-on practice,and creatively use waste paper produced by study or work.Using the right amount of fruits and vegetables as raw materials for papermaking can produce paper with the smell and color of fruits and vegetables,and can also meet the daily writing use.The ancient papermaking technique is presented in a form that meets the needs of the times.It is a social need and an exploration of new forms of cultural heritage protection and promotion.It not only has cultural heritage,but also has environmental protection value.
