Research On Furniture In Norture Shanxi

This paper analyzes the historical background,division and furniture development of the north of Shanxi Province furniture,and finds the unique charm of the north of Shanxi Province furniture and inherits the technological changes of the north of Shanxi Province furniture by exploring some important cultural relics found in the north of Shanxi area.This paper focuses on the analysis of furniture in the period of Wei,Jin,Jin,Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties in the north of Shanxi through the aspects of appearance,material selection,pattern and sculpture.Due to the special geographical location of the north of Shanxi,it is influenced by various cultures of ethnic minorities in the north,which enriches the diversity of furniture and also allows local furniture to retain its fresh charm while being diversifiedAs the capital of the Beiwei in Wei and Jin dynasties,the north of Shanxi was once very prosperous,and became one of the important stages for national integration.As one of the four Buddhist holy places in the world,Mount Wutai in Xinzhou city has exerted an important influence on people’s living habits.Archaeological materials about furniture in Datong area include burial objects,models of dead objects,stone carvings and murals,etc.,reflecting the state and level of furniture in the Northern Wei,Liao,Jin and Yuan dynasties.In the integration of north and south and the communication between east and west,the furniture in the north of Shanxi Province has changed,the Northern Wei Dynasty is the time of furniture with gradual high type;During the period of Liao and Jin dynasties,high type furniture gradually became mature and developed rapidly and widely with a verity of types;During the Yuan dynasty,the north of Shanxi Province furniture was influenced by other minorities,and formed the style of thick in modeling and complicated and colorful in decoration,which played a certain role in the development of high furniture from the universal type in Song dynasty to the mature type in Ming dynastyIn the period of Wei,Jin,Jin and Yuan dynasties,there were relatively few documents on furniture research and fine works handed down from generation to generation,however,the abundant materials of tomb illuminators and murals has provided references for the study.The article starts from the form of the furniture,the characteristics of different periods,the decorative techniques and the production techniques,conducting research and analysis on the north of Shanxi Province furniture.At the same time,this paper discusses more development and innovation ways for traditional furniture,so that the culture of furniture in the north of Shanxi Province can be spread.
