Costume Characteristics Discussion Of American Animation Characters From The Perspective Of Women's Silhouette

This thesis discusses the design similarities and differences between life apparels and animation character apparels from women's silhouette based on American animation in the 20 th century.In order to provide relative data of animation and clothing for AI era to improve the work efficiency for animation fashion designers,improve the work efficiency of animation fashion designers.The first part explains the definition,basic principles,the logic of change and the popular trend of silhouette,which belongs to relationships among the real world's apparels,body and social attributes.At the same time,to validate the trend of American women's silhouette in this period,the garment shape features were summarized from cover characters in Vogue,an authoritative fashion magazine.The second part analyzes female's dressing styles in critical plots from 1937 to 2019 in six animation production companies in the United States: Walt Disney Studios,Pixar Animation Studios,Dream Works Animation Studios,Blue Sky Studios,Sony Animation and Lighting Entertainment.The character features are extracted and structured in this framework.Also,its attributes and rules are described digitally.Finally,the thesis uses the graph database neo4 j to associate animation character apparels and women's silhouette fashion trend,and then verifies the correlation between these two clues,and forecasts the future trend of women's silhouette in American animation.The outcome of the project proves that American animation women's silhouettes are mainly composed of A-type,X-type,H-type and S-type.It is also to predicts that,women's silhouettes in American animation will still be affected by the fashion trend,for instance,the S-type women's silhouettes will continue to increase with the growth of science fiction.However,the women's silhouettes in non-science fiction animation will still be characterized by A-type and H-type.Role identification will proceed at diversified development,and virtual identities will still become dominant models.
