The three-phase asynchronous motor used in the roll forging motor is used as a power source for equipment operation in many manufacturing industries,so ensuring reliable operation of the motor has become a key.Based on the existing low-voltage electrical protection devices, the paper analyzes and designs a comprehensive and reliable monitoring and protection system to ensure the safe, stable and reliable operation of the upsetting motor.Firstly, according to the overcurrent,overload,three-phase current imbalance, temperature and vibration safety requirements, the scheme and design of the roll forging motor monitoring and protection system were carried out,and the overall scheme of the system was determined.Secondly,PLC control technology was adopted, and Siemens S7-was selected. As the control core of the system, the 300 series PLC adopts Siemens TP277 touch screen display to select, analyze and simulate the circuit of current collecting module, roller rotation angle acquisition module, temperature acquisition module and vibration detection module, and design the monitoring and protection of the motor. Finally, the Step 7 programming software is used for PLC monitoring program design, and the WinCC flexible configuration software is used for display interface design, which realizes friendly human-computer interaction. The protection system designed by the thesis can realize the monitoring of the running safety status of the motor, and display the working state of the motor on the touch screen interface, realizing the safe operation monitoring of the motor over-current,overload,three-phase current imbalance, temperature and vibration,etc.Real-time monitoring occurs when an abnormal situation occurs.
