Research On Kitchen Product Design Based On Elderly Operation Behavior

At present,China has entered an aging society.With the increase of age,the physical and mental functions of the elderly have been degraded to varying degrees,the demand for elderly products is increasing,and the supply of existing products in the market is seriously insufficient.Faced with the current situation of mismatch between supply and demand of elderly products,more and more researchers are paying attention to research on the subject of aging.As the main activity place for the elderly,the house has many valuable research contents.The kitchen is the heart of the house.The main life activities of the family,including cooking,dining water,communication and chatting,are all carried out here.The importance is self-evident.At present,there are many problems in the use of the elderly,such as unreasonable operating range,imperfect safety facilities,etc.,failing to meet the needs of the elderly.This study takes the elderly kitchen as the research goal,and cuts into the behavior of the elderly to explore the versatile design of the kitchen environment to accommodate more elderly people to use comfortably.The purpose of this study is to construct the process and method of designing the elderly kitchen.This study specifically analyzes the cooking behaviors and needs of the elderly,and focuses on solving the design problems of the elderly kitchen products in the form of personas.In order to solve the design problems of the elderly kitchen products,this study carried out theoretical research on the behavioral characteristics of the elderly and the kitchen environment,and conducted on-the-spot observations and interviews for the elderly to explore the behavioral problems of the elderly in the actual use of the kitchen.Using induction to sort out the main factors affecting cooking behavior.The external behavior is the result of inner demand,and it is necessary to further study the inner needs of the elderly.Therefore,this study uses the combination of Quality Function Deployment(QFD)and Kano model questionnaire to further obtain the kitchen needs of the elderly,establish a matrix of the relationship between the needs and design requirements of the elderly kitchen,and clarify the design direction of the elderly kitchen.Through research,this paper successfully verifies the applicability of behavioral observation and demand research in the design of elderly kitchen design,and summarizes the process and method of elderly kitchen design research based on the operation behavior of the elderly,and summarizes the following conclusions:field observation is the basic premise to explore the behavioral characteristics of the elderly,providing first-hand information for the output of high-quality design;questionnaire survey to obtain user needs is an important tool to clarify the design direction;properly presenting research results is an effective method to solve key design problems.This study is the first to combine the observation of elderly behavior with the development of quality function to obtain the needs of the elderly,and comprehensively study the relationship between the elderly and the kitchen space and kitchen products.By planning the size range of the kitchen space and the corresponding product design,this study allows the elderly to complete the cooking behavior safely and smoothly under the premise of meeting the needs of the elderly and the psychological.
