Virtual simulation technology is a computer system that can create and experience a virtual world.Due to its immersive and interactive characteristics,it can create a variety of simulated learning environments,especially the environments that are difficult to achieve,difficult to reach,and highly dangerous in the real world.Therefore,it has outstanding applications in experimental teaching.Advantage.Constructivist learning theory believes that a good realistic learning situation can help students successfully complete the construction of new knowledge and thus complete knowledge transfer.Therefore,virtual simulation technology is playing an increasingly important role in the new round of teaching reform.However,the virtual simulation technology has not been well applied in the teaching of leather engineering courses in China.The paper intends to use virtual simulation technology to carry out auxiliary teaching research in leather engineering courses,in order to achieve the purpose of reforming the traditional teaching mode and improving the quality and efficiency of teaching.The design of this virtual simulation system is based on the typical production process in a modern typical leather chemicals factory and simplifies the internal structure.With the aid of the Unity 3D virtual reality system development platform and an advanced DCS system,a set of leather chemical production simulation training system has been built.By the means of literature review,factory investigation and other means to collect data,the operating script of the leather chemical production virtual simulation system was developed,including factory layout,workshop layout,main equipment,typical production technology,operation of typical production equipment and related safety production knowledge.The transportation of control materials and the simulation of the control system in the production process have been completed,and the construction of an immersive operating environment for operators has been realized.The virtual simulation experiments of the production line of fatliquor,powdered amino resin retanning agent and acrylic resin finishing agent were taken as examples to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the virtual simulation system.Experiments show that the system runs stably and the control effect is real and smooth,which basically meets the needs of students' experiments.A virtual simulation system for students online training of leather physical performance test is designed.Based on the principles of equipment purpose,frequency of use,water and electricity,the laboratory was located reasonably.The specific hygiene performance indicators of leather were selected,and the running script of the virtual simulation system was developed,including the layout of the laboratory,the experimental operating procedures,and the design of knowledge points.Simulate the actual experimental environment,experimental operation,use of instruments and equipment for the analysis of physical and mechanical performance indicators of leather.Taking leather breathability and dynamic waterproof performance testing as an example to test the system software can help students quickly become familiar with and master the experimental operating procedures,equipment using,etc.,and fully mobilize students' learning enthusiasm.
