Physical chemistry,an important branch of chemistry,mainly studies the basic principles and theories of chemistry and explains the basic laws of chemical reactions.Many of the required chemistry courses for high school students fall under the category of physical chemistry,which runs throughout high school chemistry.With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the basic contents of the textbook can no longer fully meet the needs of students.Therefore,using the knowledge of university physical chemistry to adjust and develop the teaching contents according to the actual situation of teaching has become one of the effective teaching approaches.This thesis aims to explore the connection between the knowledge of university physical chemistry and high school chemistry,and to examine the role of physical chemistry as a guide for teaching chemistry in high school.The main contents of this paper are as follows: First,based on the literature,this thesis carries out the comparison and analysis of the knowledge system between the textbook Chemical Reaction Principle in high school and Physical Chemistry in the university,and then finds out the internal relations,obtains the growing points of knowledge in guiding high school teaching with physical chemistry principles.Second,a questionnaire is used to investigate the learning situation of senior students with the purpose of studying their learning interests,learning habits,and acceptance of growing points of knowledge.Finally,combining the basic principles and theories of physical chemistry,teaching cases are designed for teaching the growing points of knowledge and solving some of the problems happening in high school,with a view to improving the students' thinking ability and problem-solving ability,and developing their core competence.The results show that from chemistry in the high school to physical chemistry in the university,the contents of the textbook present a characteristic from decentralized to systemic,and both are closely related,and growing points of knowledge are found,which provide a theoretical basis for teaching the Chemical Reaction Principle with the guidance of the physical chemistry principles.The results of the questionnaire reveal that the students' interest in learning Chemical Reaction Principle needs to be improved,and they are not familiar with the growing points and learning difficulties,students expect to understand the principles of chemical reactions in essence.Based on the analysis of textbooks and the questionnaire results,teaching cases are designed from three perspectives: the expansion of concepts and theories,the application of reaction principles,and the introduction of electrode potential.Practical teaching examples are designed for rate constant and rate equation and the introduction of electrode potential,and teaching suggestions are put forward to provide a reference for frontline teachers.
