Weather resistant steel is widely applied in the field of train,bridge and container due to the weather resistance and good performance.In 2007,a Tangshan Guofeng Iron&Steel Co.,Ltd.began to produce broadband weather resistant steel with 940mm?1220mm specification for container boards,and its products were awarded as the Quality Golden Prize of the metal products by the Chinese Steel Industrial Association.In 2016,users had 320mm?450mm specifications for narrowband weathering steel requirements for container beam columns.Therefore,based on the experience of slab weathering steel production,the production of narrow strip weathering steel in billet caster is carried out.Test production of 650mm production line of weathering steel steel performance while meet the user requirements,but the testing process of cold bending cracks,crack sample microstructure is ferrite pearlite and cementite,inconsistent with the organization of weathering steel.The reason is that there is no rear cooling in the hot rolling line,which leads to the instability of the product structure.It provides reference for the enterprises with the same equipment condition to produce narrow strip weather resistant steel.The performance test strip production 620mm production line while meet the requirements,but the production process of mold level fluctuation,Sen set eye problems,mechanical performance of strip surplus capacity,test process needs to be optimized.Put forward approaches for the problem in 620 mm test production increased 0.01%?0.05%of acid soluble and cut steel[C]content up to 0.08%,avoid the peritectic area,increase the LF refining process routes of the modification,billet mold made white shuikou equipment modification,LF slag refining and calcium cut in steel processing,[Cr]content is 0.45%?0.45%,cut in steel[Ti]optimization measures such as content is 0.02%?0.02%.After the implementation of effective measures,the mould level fluctuation control was less than 5mm,the casting machine lintless eye flow phenomenon,tensile strength,yield strength compared with before optimization reduces about 86MPa,107MPa,can meet the performance requirements,but also reduce the production cost,for the final production of low cost,excellent quality with narrowband weathering steel effectively.And through the comparison of the properties of different rolling temperature strip,the final rolling process parameters of 620mm rolling line are as follows:the final rolling temperature is 900±20 DEG C,the final cooling temperature is 710±20 DEG C,the ultra cold and coarse cold section is opened with a set of water,and the cold cooling section is automatically put into use.The production process is integreated after optimized to make massvie production,it gained a good feedback on the container beams from the user,and it achieved a significant economic benefits 194 yuan per ton.
