As the basic industry of national economy,manufacturing industry consumes a lot of natural resources and creates human wealth,but at the same time,it also produces serious environmental pollution problems.Considering the importance of green manufacturing to the sustainable development of resources and environment,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the optimization method of cutting parameters for green manufacturing.This paper studies the optimization of cutting parameters in mechanical cutting system,defines the green evaluation index model of machining,constructs a multiobjective optimization model of cutting parameters for high efficiency,low cost and green machining,designs an improved NSGA-? algorithm to solve the above model,and develops a computer aided process planning system including the optimization function of cutting parameters.The main contents of this paper are as follows.Firstly,the background and significance of the research are elaborated,the research status of green manufacturing at home and abroad is introduced,and the related research on the optimization of cutting parameters corresponding to different stages of manufacturing development is also introduced.The shortcomings of the existing research on optimization of cutting parameters are analyzed and summarized.Secondly,in order to measure the greening degree of a single step in the process of mechanical processing,a green evaluation index model of machining is defined,which takes into account the energy consumption of machine tools and cutting fluid consumption.Then,taking minimizing processing time,minimizing processing cost and minimizing green evaluation index of machining as optimization objectives,considering the speed,feed rate,machine power constraints of the machine tool itself and surface processing quality constraints of the machined parts,a multiobjective optimization model of cutting parameters for high efficiency,low cost and green machining is established.Then,aiming at the complex characteristics of the proposed cutting parameters optimization model,such as multiobjective and multiconstraint,and the shortcomings of the traditional NSGA-? algorithm in solving complex nonlinear problems in practical engineering field,two improvement measures are proposed,namely,chaos initialization population and adding mutation operator based on chaos maps.By applying the traditional NSGA-? algorithm and the improved NSGA-?-IM algorithm to solve the optimization model established in two examples of turning and milling respectively,and comparing the results of the improved algorithm with those of the recommended parameters in the cutting manual,the effectiveness of the proposed model and the improved algorithm is verified.Finally,on the basis of the above research work,a computer aided process planning system is developed on My Eclipse development platform by using B/S threetier architecture.The system includes the function of optimization of cutting parameters,which can provide convenience for process designers to determine cutting parameters.
