Table is a kind of common furniture that can satisfy the use requirement of people.With the improvement of quality of life,people also demand more and more from the function of the table.In daily life,when the table is placed on the uneven ground will occur shaking,and when you align multiple tables,there are gaps in the joints due to height differences.Therefore,a foot device is designed in this paper which can automatically balance the horizontal height and is mainly used for desks and other tables.Meanwhile,a test system is designed to test the actual performance of the device.The foot device includes a connecting mechanism and a plurality of support units.The support unit is in the form of a piston cylinder,and the height adjustment is realized by the movement of the piston in the cylinder.The foot adopts friction braking,and the current height is maintained by the compression and expansion of the elastic material that squeezes the piston wall and deforms it,resulting in friction between the piston and the cylinder.In this paper,Solidworks is used for modeling,and the internal stress status of the foot device is analyzed.Finally,the conditions for height adjustment are summarized.The key parts of the device are statically analyzed with ANSYS to verify the rationality of the design.In order to optimize the parameters of the elastic elements which are arranged inside the foot device,a test system is designed to test the comprehensive performance of the foot under different parameters in this paper.Test system adopts CP1 H type PLC as the core,and loads a fixed point on the table through pressure loading device.Then the sensors will send the pressure value and the real-time table height to the controller.A curve of table height with load can be established by the data which is measured by the sensor.According to the curve,the self-locking performance and stability of the device can be judged.The experiment includes the tests of the performance of rubber strip and the comprehensive performance of the foot device,including self-locking performance,the adjusting range and the stability over a long time.And the performance comparison experiment with the existing mechanism is carried out.The material of the brake strip and the specific parameters of the elastic element in the support unit are determined through the experiment.It is also proved that the self-balancing foot device designed in this paper can adjust the height of the table within a certain range and maintain a stable height for a long time to satisfy the expected requirements,and provides a direction for the future optimization work.
