The design and layout for stamping process of automobile panel is the most critical part in the design and manufacturing of automobile panel.The traditional method of design and layout for stamping process of automobile panel mainly depends on the experience of engineers,resulting in long mold development cycles and high costs.In recent years,China has developed into the world's largest automobile manufacturing country.There are nearly hundreds of new car models introduced by car companies every year.Many of new models focus on changes in the appearance of the car while keeping the engine and chassis of the car basically unchanged.Therefore,new challenges are imposed on the design and manufacture of automobile panel.The design and manufacturing of automobile panel has always been one of the shortcomings of China's automobile industry.In order to adapt to the diversity of modern market demands and improve product quality and shorten development cycles and reduce costs,it is of great significance for improving the design efficiency to research and develop intelligent design and layout systems for stamping processe of automobile panel.This paper researched and developed a knowledge-based analysis and layout system for stamping process of automobile panel.The overall system framework and design process was designed and the modular division scheme was proposed.The key technologies of system was researched.The feature identification method of parts was studied and the features were classified.The process analysis method based on discrete and merge ideas and the adaptive discrete method of feature boundary were proposed.The hole punching direction analysis algorithm and trimming process analysis algorithm were proposed based on the adaptive discrete algorithm.It can solve the problem in determining the punching direction of irregular holes and the block of trimming.A process merging algorithm based on the merging idea was proposed to automatically generate the merging scheme between holes,holes and trimming to simplify the process steps and mold structure.The interference checking method based on simplified tool body was researched,and the bounding box algorithm of simplified tool body and the process layout algorithm based on process layout rules and interference checking results were proposed to realize the automatic layout for stamping process of automobile panel.At the end of this article,the front inner panel of automobile was taken as an example to verify the effectiveness and practicability of the analysis and layout system for stamping process of automobile panel.The system provides a user-friendly functional interface and visualized result display.Designers can quickly operate and analyze,which can effectively improve the accuracy and efficiency of process design and shorten the product development cycle.
