The stamping process is the most commonly used typical process in automobile manufacturing.The automobile panels are all made by stamping.The manufacturing quality of the panel not only determines the appearance of the automobile,but also influences the mechanical properties of the components.Reasonable stamping process design is an important guarantee for the quality of automobile panel,which can effectively reduce the defects such as scratch,fold,Dent and fracture.In this paper,the stamping process and die design method are studied by means of the combination of structural design,simulation and test-die verification to ensure the rationality of die structure design To reduce the cost of modifying the later trial die.According to the material and structure characteristics of the outer plate of the top cover of light truck,the main causes of the wrinkling of the four ends and the serious thinning of the connecting parts in the drawing process are analyzed,and a process supplement design method based on the non-smooth structure design is proposed It is used for the four corners which are easy to wrinkle and the joint parts which are seriously thinned in the drawing process to improve the material fluidity effectively.The technological analysis of drawing and stamping for the cover of light truck is carried out,and the finite element simulation model is established.The optimum drawing process of the outer plate of the top cover is obtained by simulation experiment.According to the drawing process,the stamping process of the outer plate of the top cover is designed.Based on the results of numerical simulation,four sets of dies were designed and manufactured,including the die for drawing the outer plate of the top cover,the die for trimming and piercing,the die for trimming and shaping,and the die for trimming and side piercing.Design die material and standard parts selection standard,determine the die closed height and feed height,using UG software design four sets of Die three-dimensional structure,assembly interference inspection.Die Test Scheme for design of Technological Die for outer plate of top cover.The test results show that the non-smooth structure-based technology can effectively reduce the wrinkling defects of the four corners of the outer plate of the top cover and improve the forming precision of the workpiece.The mould manufactured in this study has been checked and accepted,put into production,the actual use of the mould is good,the maintenance and repair of the mould is completely under control.The results of this study can be used for reference to improve the stamping process and die design level of the outer panel series of the auto panel top cover,and to shorten the development cycle of the related dies.
