The full-scale outbreak of the COVID-19 in 2020 has caused different degrees of impact on various industries in China,but at the same time it has brought new opportunities.On the one hand,under the conditions of epidemic situation,the gold mining enterprises stopped production and workers could not return in time,while the traffic and logistics transportation were hindered.On the other hand,the outbreak of the COVID-19 stimulated a sharp rise in gold prices,which brought the opportunity for enterprises to generate income.For gold mining enterprises,especially small and medium-sized enterprises,the competitive pressure will be greater in the market where opportunities and challenges coexist.In addition,there is an urgent need for the reform and upgrading of mining enterprises,so a management system is urgently needed to play a guiding role in the work of enterprises.Performance evaluation system is a powerful tool to improve the operation of enterprises.An effective performance evaluation system can not only motivate employees to improve their enthusiasm,but also find out the problems existing in the enterprise,so that all aspects of the enterprise can be improved.In this paper,Z Mining company is selected as the research object to investigate the application of balanced scorecard in gold mining enterprises.Z Mining company is engaged in gold prospecting,mining,gold ore processing and sales.At present,the business is in good condition,but the performance evaluation system can not effectively support the development strategy of the enterprise.After reading a lot of domestic and foreign literature on performance evaluation and balanced scorecard,this paper firstly elaborates on the relevant theories of performance evaluation.Secondly,it introduces the basic situation and organizational structure of Z Mining Company.Then through studying the current situation of enterprise performance evaluation,it is found that there are the following problems: the performance evaluation system can not effectively support the development strategy of the company;the performance evaluation index system is incomplete;the internal business process is ignored;the evaluation results are not analyzed,and lack of the communication and feedback of performance evaluation.According to the development strategy of the Z Mining company,through the five-dimensional subdivision of the development strategy,clear the focus of attention at all levels of enterprises,this paper selects suitable evaluation indexes,and calculates index weights using AHP.It also formulates evaluation criteria: the percentage deduction system is adopted,the comprehensive score is calculated,and the enterprise assessment results are evaluated.A five-dimension balanced scorecard,including safety and environmental protection dimensions,is built for Z Mining Company.Finally,the balanced scorecard is simulated in Z Mining enterprises,and the relevant data of 2020 are used to evaluate the performance of the company in 2020,and to analyze the operation situation at all levels.Aiming at Z Mining company,this paper puts forward some suggestions to ensure the smooth and long-term operation of the balanced scorecard from three aspects: before,during and after operation.
