Nowadays,people's demand for healthy and green products that take edible rose as raw material for production and processing is growing day by day,which makes edible rose processing industry need to develop in the direction of digital and intelligent.During the process from picking,transportation to sorting and impurity removal in the primary processing of edible roses,dust or other impurities will be attached to the petal surface,so it is necessary to clean and remove the surface moisture.At present,the edible rose petals pretreating process has already begun to take assembly line production capacity,but for cleaning after edible rose petals using traditional dewatering device exists when processing the low efficiency,poor water from effect and easy with the device surface adhesion,and many other problems,therefore to carry out research and development of new edible rose petals dewatering equipment is of great significance.Based on the principle of centrifugal separation,a new type of centrifugal dewatering equipment was designed,and the force and motion state of the edible rose petals in the dewatering cylinder were analyzed and studied.On this basis,combined with discrete element software EDEM edible rose petals dehydration process of numerical simulation and experiment,finally for the enterprise to realize the automatic edible rose petals dehydration process provides certain guiding role.The main work contents of this paper are as follows:(1)In order to improve the dehydration efficiency of edible rose petals and realize automatic and intelligent production operation,the screw propeller,a key component design,will be introduced in combination with the traditional dehydration method and processing technology indexes of edible rose petals,so as to realize continuous dehydration of edible rose petals.(2)By building an experimental platform with the help of experimental instruments,the basic physical and mechanical parameters of edible rose petals were measured to provide reasonable simulation parameters for the establishment of the discrete element model of edible rose petals and the numerical simulation of dehydration process.(3)In order to make the simulation truly reflect the dehydration situation of edible rose petals,the Bonding V2 contact theory is adopted to establish the discrete element model of edible rose petals with water particles on the surface,and the feasibility of the model is verified through the accumulation test and wall test of rose petals.(4)The numerical simulation of the dehydration process of edible rose petals was realized through discrete element simulation,and orthogonal experiment was conducted to analyze the factors affecting the dehydration effect,and the process parameters were optimized and improved.Results show that the rotating speed of centrifugal barrel of its dehydration effect is significant,the influence of screw propeller speed times,petals dewatering quantity less affected,when screw propeller speed for 810 r/min,centrifugal drum rotating speed is 900 r/min,petals off water for 300,the edible rose petals of surface water and dewatering effect best,dehydration rate is highest.
